Summer Activities

Summer Activities!

I don’t know about you guys but I love me a three day weekend, and what’s coming up? 4th of July which just so happens to  fall on a Monday, so guess what? THREE  DAY WEEKEND !!! Woohoo!

Although, some of you might not have the luxury of a three day weekend  or might not even have off on the holiday (total downer) I do know that at some point you will have a day off to just relax and do whatever you’d like! Yay! Today I’m talking Fourth of July Activities, or even just Day off Summer Activities, because well why not. it’s summer after all and the world is your oyster.  Here’s some inspiration to get you in the mood!

Yes, we all love a good beach day, soaking in the sun, maybe taking a little dip in the cool ocean water…but how about doing something a bit different?

  • Plan a day at the park, bring some grub and pass the time under the shade of the trees
  • Take your bikes and go for a ride! Search some bike trails and pack some snacks… don’t forget to hydrate
  • Go to an official Tour! Some National Parks have historical buildings or sites that you can take tours of, it’s a great way to enjoy the outdoors and learn something new
  • The Botanical Garden, always a great activity… takes it easy and enjoy the beauty around you!
  • Go Kayaking! If you live in a place where there’s different bodies of water around the area, there is most likely a Kayaking site! Sooo much fun soak in the sun, get some exercise and enjoy the scenery
  • Go to your local farmer’s market or Flea Market…enjoy local vendors and find some great handmade pieces, eat delicious treats and get some local organic produce!
  • Hit up the Wineries, take a tour and do some tastings! This works with local micro breweries and farms too!
  • Go on a food excursion! There are awesome food tours available all over, if not go to plan B search for some placed you’d like hit up that you’ve never tried and have the best of the best and make a day of it!

The list can go on and on!  There are so many things to do out there, if you ever run out of things to do or are unsure of what to choose, visit your local CVB (Convention and Visitors Bureau) they are always in the know of what’s going on in your area and what activities are out there that you might have never thought of!
